Finally, an update!

Not much of one, but it is one. First, the fic archive is back in action! My ftp account was compromised back in 2012 and a lot of files were infected, after which I decided it best to just take the whole thing down for well over a year rather than infect someone with some sort of nasty virus. That’s all fixed now, and all of your old passwords/usernames should still work (the database containing that information was not compromised).

Second! Underdogs has a new look (perhaps obviously). Watch me be lazy and simply edit colors and a few minor things here and there on a default WP theme. Go go lazy. You can still see the old layout by clicking some of the random links around.

Third! Both the lyrics and image gallery sections have gotten revamps. Fanart will be my next project (send me some!), followed by a revamp of the downloads section. I’m also planning on tossing up some scans from ShinTeni and Tenimyu soon, which leads me to . . .

WANTED!

I’m looking to provide Fudoumine scans from the musicals (photosets, pamphlets, cd scans, etc); however, I lack the physical means to do so–which is to say, I don’t own very much of the merchandise from that period of Tenimyu time. The only bits I’m able to provide are Ishida’s Dream Live 4th photoset, and scans from the DL2/DL4 soundtracks. If you own any of the Fudoumine photosets from that time and would be willing to scan for this site, I would greatly appreciate it! I’m looking for scans that are 300dpi OR no less than 1000px tall.

Site backend

I upgraded WordPress and Efiction today – please let me know if there are any problems! I went through the subscriber/user list on WordPress and deleted any users that looked (by name or email) to be spam registrations – if you were accidentally deleted (it’s possible) please feel free to re-register.

Content Updates

I’m currently working on cleaning up the doujinshi section – adding titles/artists/circles to books that didn’t have them, rearranging them, and all that good stuff. Check back soon for that, as there will also be a handful of new doujinshi added.

New section added to the downloads -> online graphics section: Icons! Currently all of the icons available are created by myself, but anyone may feel free to submit some icons of their own :) (While I’m on the graphics subject: if you have any other graphics – layouts, friends-only banners, wallpapers, etc, feel free to send them in!)

Wanted!

In wanting to make this site a bit more user-interactive, I’ve decided to (at some point) add an essay section – this would be essays about a certain character, ‘ship manifestos, and the like. If you have anything of the sort (or would like to write one!), feel free to submit!

The guidelines are as follows:

  • These would be just like the essays you write in school, and therefore must contain proper grammar/spelling/structure. A beta-reader is a good thing to have.
  • You must be able to support your views/thesis somehow via OFFICIAL sources – be it through the fanbooks, anime, or manga.
  • Essays may be in any style you wish – compare/contrast, process analysis, cause/effect, etc)
  • All sources/references must be listed.

I’d also like to offer more translated material, be it songs, fanbook information, or doujinshi, but unfortunately my Japanese is too fail to do this on my own. If you can translate from Japanese to English and would like to help out, feel free to contact me via one of the options in the contact section.

Downloads

The music download section has gotten a massive update – all albums and singles are now available (only!) as complete .rar’s at 320 cbr, with booklet scans included. Album covers have been added next to album information, and I’m now using a new download manager to handle the files. If you run into any problems, please let me know!

It’s been a while. But first! Underdogs has a shiny, shiny new layout. Horrah! And now for the real updates, in almost-bulletpoint form :D

If you haven’t heard already, Tachibana & Kamio recently put out another CD entitled Prism, featuring a duet, two solos, and an instrumental version. If you can buy it, please do!

Site-related

[+] The Fudoumine Fanlisting has moved away from its subdomain, and is now housed straight on fudomine.org. Either click the fanlisting link to your right, or you can follow the link to the fanlisting. The fanlisting has also received 37 new image codes. To old members, there is now a option for you to list your favourite team member! You can add yours by going to the Update Info link. If you joined prior to the listing being converted to Enthusiast, please collect a password from the Lost Password page. YOU WILL NEED THE EMAIL ADDRESS YOU SIGNED UP WITH. If this email address is no longer working, feel free to email me with your name and any information and I will change it for you :)

[+] Underdogs Fanfiction has moved to a subdomain with a fresh, new, not!broken install of Efiction. All user information and fics *should* have been transferred successfully, so you shouldn’t see any differences between the new one and the old one. If for some reason your account doesn’t work, let me know. And on that note, several new pieces of (my) fanfiction have been added to the archive, and all (of everyone’s) fanfiction that was on the old archive has been edited for any spelling or glaring grammar mistakes. :) Additionally, I have also created a Livejournal feed JUST for updates to the fiction archive, which can be found at underdogsfic or by clicking the Fiction LJ Feed link to your right.

[+] Two more fanarts by me have been added to the General folder. Quicklinks: Kamio & Kamio & An.

[+] The link script has been updated to use Linkationally instead of SimpleDir, for too much spam + SimpleDir being ridiculously unsafe = I finally got off my ass and did something about it.

[+] Remember what I said up there about Tachibana and Kamio having a new CD out? Well I’ve romanised the duet & Kamio’s solo; Tachibana’s will come soon. Quicklinks: PRISM (Duet) & ACE of ACES (Kamio).

[+] Since this update was weeks (or months, in some cases) in the making, it is not a COMPLETE update. I plan on completely revamping the downloads and gallery sections, so keep an eye out for those soon :)

[+] The Kamio Akira, Ibu Shinji, and Suzuki Chihiro (Kamio’s seiyuu) fanlistings have all received new layouts within the last couple of months, as well as some shiny media-type stuff.
